Keolis boosts its position in the Netherlands

Keolis now owns 50% of the capital of Syntus, alongside NS (the national Dutch railway).

Syntus operates the following multimodal networks in the province of Gederland, in the East of the Netherlands:

- Achterhoek
- Zutphen, Hengelo and Oldenzaal
- the Arnhem-Tiel railway line

Syntus employs 455 staff, and owns a fleet of 97 buses and 33 trains. The company has annual net revenue of €58 million.
In becoming one of the two majority shareholders, Keolis aims at playing a considerably bigger role in Syntus, and building up its know-how in terms of intermodal transport and innovative mobility solutions.

This takeover also illustrates Keolis’ desire to pursue its international development in all modes, using its existing references as a starting point.
